Here you’ll regularly find book reviews, library musings, and book-related features. I also participate in In My Mailbox, a weekly meme hosted by Kristi from The Story Siren.

Right now, I’ve only got one feature going and that’s “Where I Read.” “Where I Read” started because I always have my camera and a book with me. It’s a photo blog of me reading in some of the places around Chicago, trying to document more of my reading history. Eventually when I had enough images, I’d like to use these as Moo business cards images.

“Read What You Know” came about from reading a lot of YA book review blogs and literally thinking every time, “I could do that.” A quiet Monday morning at work led me to go, “I am going to do that.” The blog was created in April of 2009 and I puttered with it until June of 2009, when I kicked off the blog after participating in the 48 Hour Book Challenge.

The name is play of the old adage “Write What You Know.” I’m a writer, but first and foremost, I’m a reader. I thought the spin was a bit of cleverness and I’m pleased to say that I quite enjoy it.

I like the title of your blog and your history/explanation (it made me smile). Glad you added the tabs re: blog & girl. Fun to learn more.
I am sure I’ll see more clever spins of blogginess as I click around a bit. The youth at your library are lucky to have you. Glad I found your blog. Good luck!
