in my mailbox (1) June 14, 2009

Posted by Katie in in my mailbox.

In My Mailbox explores the contents of my “mailbox” on a weekly basis. I’ll be using this as a book and contest round-up tool to show what I’m getting ready to review. If you would like to participate and have your own “In My Mailbox” post, you can find more information at The Story Siren, here.

Library Check-out
This is always going to be the first section of this update. I really believe in the importance of using the library to get books! It’s free, after all!

Love You Hate You Miss You by Elizabeth Scott.
Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson.
Don’t Judge a Girl By Her Cover by Ally Carter.

Books Purchased
Through Amazon, and the wonder of Borders.

If I Stay by Gayle Forman.
The Book of Luke by Jenny O’Connell.
And finally shipping to my house this week is Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen. I’ve had it on pre-order since the first day pre-order was available!

Contest Round-Up
A new thing I’m trying is participating in some contests around the web. Here’s the links to the ones I entered this weekend.

The Shady Glade — A contest to win Maggie Stiefvater’s book, Shiver. For more information, click the link!

Kidlit — A contest to win Suzanne Collins’s book, Catching Fire. For more information, click the link!

Rebecca’s Book Blog — A contest to win Kristin Cashore’s book, Fire. For more information, click the link!

The Epic Rat — A contest to win lots of different books. For more information, click the link!

We’ll see how these contests pan out. I’ve got my fingers crossed for each and every one of them!
